The 1st Annual AI Programmer's Dinner (1998)

On Friday, May 8th, 1998, several game developers who specialize (or try to, anyway) in game AI got together for the 1st Annual AI Programmer's Dinner at the CGDC. There were lots of invitees, and 16 people showed up in all...a respectable number for the first dinner.

The following is the email I sent out to all attendees after the dinner:

Hello Everybody: This email is going out to everybody who attended the 1st Annual AI Programmer's Dinner. Neil, Eric, and myself all hope we can make this an annual event at each CGDC. All in all, we had a total of 16 people, from 4 different countries and 14 different companies. I was fortunate enough to sit in the middle of the table and was able to participate in VASTLY different conversations no matter which way I turned....frankly, *I* had a blast! ;) The attendees were:

Thank you all for being there. This was one of the best new things to happen at CGDC in years...I hope we can keep the tradition going!
