Genetic Algorithms and
Genetic Programming
are possibly two of the most over-used terms and (least-understood
technologies) in the game AI field, right behind
Neural Networks and/or
Fuzzy Logic.
That's probably becuase all these technologies try, in their own way,
to solve the AI problem "Mother Nature's Way"--through the force of sheer
evolution and adaptation. And everybody likes the idea of "playing
God" just a little bit...the idea of watching your creations actually
learn is pretty darn irrestible for most of us.
Just how useful these technologies are to the game developer is
what this page is all about, of course. I've gathered here various
genetic algorithm
and genetic programming resources that I've
