Will it take the evolution and introduction of a truly useful AI middleware toolkit of some kind before AI will become as important as graphics to a game's success?

Steve's Comments: Not our most popular poll, though I thought the results were interesting at any rate. Fully one-third of our respondents thought that a good AI middleware package was necessary for AI to become really important...though over 25% don't care as long as something does. Seems like there is in fact a market out there for the AI middleware guys, if they play their cards right.
